Meet Lucien
Hi Lucien, could you introduce yourself in a few words?
Hi, my name is Lucien, I’m 21 years old, I’m a 5th-year student at INSA Centre-Val de Loire and I’m currently doing my internship in the Development department at Coexya.
What does your internship at Coexya consist of?
Within the Development department, I work on R&D (research and development) projects, which aim to automate certain repetitive and costly editing tasks, especially when migrating documents from one software to another.
How did you find your internship?
It was a friend from INSA, Kenzo, also on an internship at Coexya, who told me about the company and the internship subjects offered there.
How is your internship being monitored?
During my internship, I had the opportunity to participate in several interviews aimed at discussing my integration into the company and the team, as well as ensuring that the projects I am working on are in line with my internship subject. So I would say that the follow-up of my internship has been good!
Can you tell us a little about the atmosphere within the development department? / How would you describe the atmosphere within the development department?
I really appreciate the relaxed atmosphere of the development department, there is a good team cohesion and I get along well with all my colleagues. In addition, most people are quite young, so it’s pretty easy to integrate.
You recently participated in the technical challenge organized by Coexya, can you tell us about it? What did it bring you?
The technical challenge is a (very friendly) project competition that takes place over one day. The goal is to complete a project in a limited time on given themes, and to present your result at the end. It’s an interesting challenge because it requires good coordination and the ability to adapt quickly to the difficulties you encounter. It’s good preparation for more intense projects!
What motivated you to accept a permanent contract offer following your internship?
I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Coexya! I had no trouble integrating into the Development department, and the ancillary activities (badminton tournament, technical challenge, training, etc.) also allowed me to meet some of the other employees. In addition, most R&D projects are unique and allow you to challenge yourself!
What advice would you give to future interns interested in an opportunity at Coexya?
Go for it! There are lots of really cool internship subjects and the work environment is very pleasant!
